Just wondering if this actually worked or if it was just a fanmade patch in order to keep the patch balances being implemented for PCs in line with the Mac version.

Furthermore, anything that runs on 8 should run on 8.1. Windows 8 is just Windows 7 with an extra layer of rubbish (Metro interface), and I know for a fact all the AoE series runs fine on 7. age3, age3x, age3y) in compatibility mode for xp 3 service pack. When not running steam as an administrator, I am asked to enter an administrator password twice, then a box saying 'age of empires has stopped working' pops up. Thats when running in administrator mode. Upon trying to open the complete edition, a small box saying something about first time startup pops up for a fraction of a second, then disappears and nothing happens. I can open the asian dynasties and warchiefs expansions perfectly fine, but can't create an eso account on them to play multiplayer. I bought the complete collection in the steam sale but i cannot open the age of empires complete collection. This is how i got the game to launch: - Navigated to install directory - C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Age Of Empires 3\bin - Located age3y.exe - Right click file > Properties > Compatibility tab - Choose Windows Vista SP2 and Run as Administrator - Relaunched, got two UAC messages(normal). I desperately need help with this issue, I've been trying to solve it for at least 6 hours.
